If you would like to volunteer for SOD and help out with the biological surveys of the buttes, you can do so anytime. If you are out on the buttes hiking around, you can help us by documenting what you find.
We can provide you with a general map of the area so you can mark where you were (or give us GPS coordinates), the list of target species, and a standard data collection survey sheet.
Any information you provide counts, even if you are not a biologist and cannot identify what you see. If you are interested in doing this, just send an email (to right) with the word "survey" in the subject line, and we will give you access to the documents you need via dropbox (an online storage unit) where you can retrieve them. Then, when you are finished, just send us your documents/notes and findings via mail or email.
